Prepare yourselves, on Saturday, September 7th, from 11am – 4 pm, we are going to have a little fun. Okay, a lot of fun!!! We are going to have free food, bounce houses, games, art, entertainment and a kitchen sink. Okay, maybe not the kitchen sink, but almost everything!

Will you come and have some fun? Will you invite your friends? Will you grab your mama, grandmama, friends, neighbors, co-workers, boss, your bosses nephew and your 2nd cousin’s nephew and bring them with you?

I mean seriously, why wouldn’t you want to come? Seriously? Why? Tell me now! Why?!?!

Ok, all kidding and sarcasm aside, we hope you’ll join us and invite some friends to come with you for a jolly good time!

What’s happening at our church this fall?

We’ve got a lot of great things happening at our church this fall and we would love for you to be a part of them. If you want to know more about what kind of church we are, check out our thinking of visiting & FAQ pages.

For more information about anything you see on this page, contact us and we’ll get in touch with you!

We are changing our name to SixEight Church.

If you’re familiar with our church and are wondering why we’re changing our name, you can click here for a full explanation. The main reason is our church building isn’t located close to the creek by the same name. So, we wanted to change our name. And SixEight references the verse that we want our people to be about, Micah 6:8: “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? But to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

We want to Do justice, Love Mercy and Walk humbly. And we want to start by doing that in our community.

Sun Stand Still

On Sunday, September 8th, we are starting a new series called Sun Stand Still. If you have something you are facing in your life that seems insurmountable, then this is the series for you. If you are facing a mountain that you don’t know how to climb, then this would be a great opportunity for you to get some help facing it.

We are believing God for the impossible and we believe God wants to answer your impossible prayer requests too!

Chasing Supermom

logo-no-tag-line-largeSupermom is a myth! Let’s get real. Real ideas, real encouragement. Chasing supermom is a free group for moms who are pregnant or have a child in 5th grade.

Chasing Supermom is all about providing moms with real-world ideas and encouragement. We want you to leave feeling uplifted, blessed, and ready to take on another day. Come and enjoy a great breakfast, hear from passionate and relevant speakers, and connect with other moms, all while your kids are enjoying our free Superkids program.

Man Cave

Man-Cave-header

This is a simple truth: Women go to the bathroom in herds. Men don’t. So, we want to meet men on their turf. So, we are turning one of the rooms in our church into a man cave. We get together every Saturday to watch football games. And, we are planning on having other nights open for men to come and watch Monday Night Football or Duck Dynasty.

So, if you’re a man, consider this your invitation.

Current Youth

We have a youth group that meets on Wednesday evenings. The big kickoff for youth is on Wednesday, September 4th @ 6:30 pm.

68-kids

SixEight Kids

Your kids are important to you and they’re important to us. So we are striving to provide a safe and fun environment where you kids can learn about a God who loves them very much.

If you come to church on a Sunday, you will be able to drop you kids off with our volunteers who will spend the service caring for your kids, having fun and making sure they have an awesome time.

Food Pantry

Every wednesday afternoon, we open up our food pants to give food to those in our community who may find themselves in need of food. We serve between 40-70 families each week we are open. If this is you, we’d encourage you to come on the next wednesday you have available.

The pantry is open from 1-3pm on Wednesday afternoons. You can come before that to get a number. If you or someone you know is in need of food, please spread the word!

Laundry Love

On the last Monday evening of the month, we partner with Mimi’s Laundromat to wash laundry for those who may not be able to afford doing that for themselves.

I am blessed to be able to serve SixEight as the Lead Pastor. I am humbled to have been brought into this role and am very excited about what God wants to do in me and us through this. I grew up in the church and have been a worship pastor for the last decade. I am married to a wonderful woman and have four amazing children.
