I’m Excited!

megaphone

I wish I could let you know just how excited I am about what’s going on at our church! If I could, I’d run around to all your houses with a megaphone and wake you up, old school Ty Pennington style. WAKE UP!

I know that for you it may not feel like much is going on, but let me tell you, a lot of stuff is rolling here and I can’t wait to see what God does in our church in the next few months.

What I hope is that you become so excited about what God is doing in your life and in the life of this church that you too want to run from house to house and shout to the world about all the great stuff God is doing in your life.

What exactly am I excited about?

For starters, I’m excited that we consistently have people in our church who are seeking God. They haven’t come to know Him yet, and they’re here trying to figure that out. THAT’S AWESOME! I’m praying for more and more of that. Will you join me in praying for that?

I’m also excited about what’s going to be happening here over the course of the next 6 weeks. We’re going to have a church picnic, which is going to be a lot of fun. We’re going to start a new series called 8 to 15 where we really get an idea of who the 8 to 15 people God wants us to reach out to. We are going to have a Block Party on the first weekend of September. Plus the launch of Chasing Supermom a little bit into September.

And then we have “To Beard or Not To Beard.” Sunday September 8th, I’m praying God will fill this place with over 125 people. And if we do, someone will shave my beard at the end of the service. I’ll keep the beard if we have more than 150.

On that Sunday, 9/8 – we will be starting a new series. And I am really praying that God will use that series in people’s lives to get them to see all the amazing things God wants to do in them.

By the way, that’s the point of “To Beard or Not to Beard.” It’s not just a gimmick to get people here or to get you to invite your 8 to 15. The point is we want people to hear the message of the gospel in a way that changes their lives.

So, will you join me? Will you join me in being excited about what God is doing here? Will you join me in praying for everything that is coming up over the next few weeks? We all need to join together during this time and lift up the mission God has for our church. We want to bring Glory to God. We want to be a church that is doing everything we can to reach new people for Christ. We can’t do that without prayer. We have to be devoted to prayer and seeking God to move mightily on our behalf.

That’s what I’m excited about. That’s what I’m praying for. Will you join me?
