As a church we are passionate about Jesus. In fact, if we are going to call ourselves ‘Christians’ we must be passionate about Jesus. But, do we really know who Jesus was? Do we really know what Jesus did? Do you know what Jesus said? Or has our understanding Jesus just been passed down to us by others who think they know Jesus.
For us as a church, we are trying to live out the single greatest mandate that has been given to any group throughout history. After Jesus finished his work, he told his follower to “do unto others” what Jesus had done for them. He wanted his followers to go and teach others how to live like he taught them to live.
So, we are embarking on this epic journey of investigating who Jesus was, what He said and did. Our goal is not to simply gain more trivial information about Him, instead it is to know Him in such a deep way that we adapt our lives to His life. What better way to do that than to go through the gospel according to Luke who investigated all that took place and presented Christ to us that we may “have certainty of the things we have been taught.” (Luke 1:4)
We invite you to join us on this journey. If you have been wondering who Jesus is, but have been skeptical about what you’re being taught, we would love for you to join us.
Starting Sunday, September 24, 2017 we will be Investigating Jesus.
