The Disciples Project, Module 2: Submission or Desertion and being Devoted To Prayer

You’ve probably heard the term before. Maybe even used it. “I’m shopping for a church.” It’s become a pretty normal thing to hear in churches now-a-days. But, as we talk about in this session of “The Disciples Project,” we need to be committed to community. It’s not enough to attend church, we need to be in deep enough that we are being sharpened and pruned because of the community.

One of those key, uniting factors of the early church was prayer. As we read in Acts 2, they were devoted to prayer. If we are going to be a community of life change, a community that makes a difference in the world, then we also have to be a community that is devoted to prayer.

Listen in as we talk about these two ideas in the 5th week of this module!

I am blessed to be able to serve SixEight as the Lead Pastor. As a pastor, my first aim is to follow God, my primary ministry is to my wife and 4 kids. They are amazing! When it comes to our church family, I get the pleasure of leading our church to follow God. This is truly a gift that God has given to our family, and we are honored and humbled to serve Him in this capacity at SixEight!
