The Disciples Project, Module 4: Mutuality of Brokeness

26 August, 2015

Post By : David Lindner

A source we have been using through this “Love Mercy” series is a book entitled “The Cost of Community” by Jamie Aprin-Ricci. In the book he said this:

“By recognizing we are as much in need of mercy (and grace) as those we extend mercy to, we subvert the tendency we all have for coming to the rescue as the saviors of the lost and needy. We have one Savior, on whom we all absolutely and equally depend.” – Jamie Arpin-Ricci in “The Cost of Community”

This was a guiding point for our talk today. I encourage you to listen in and discover how our own brokenness propels us to show mercy toward others.

I am blessed to be able to serve SixEight as the Lead Pastor. As a pastor, my first aim is to follow God, my primary ministry is to my wife and 4 kids. They are amazing! When it comes to our church family, I get the pleasure of leading our church to follow God. This is truly a gift that God has given to our family, and we are honored and humbled to serve Him in this capacity at SixEight!
