We would love to have you visit us! We have taken some time to put together some answers to some of the questions we receive from people who are thinking about joining us. You can read through those below.

However, we want you to know that we take your visit very seriously. We know what a big deal it is for anyone to try out a church, and we want to do everything we can to make your time with us as beneficial to you as possible.

If you have any concerns that aren’t addressed in the questions below, we would love to talk to you about them. We know that every family and person is different so we do our best to be sensitive about that.

Whatever your need may be, we hope to be able to meet it!

If you’re thinking of visiting us, you should also check out the About Us page, to learn more about what kind of church we are.

Where Are You Located?

8802 NW 9th Avenue Vancouver, Washington 98665 – Check out our Map & Directions page for more info.

When are your services?

Our gathering time is on Sunday mornings at 10:00. Come early to get a free cup of brewed coffee or get a coffee from Mocha 6:8. If you are visiting us, your first espresso is on us!

What do you believe?

  • We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God
  • We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience.
  • We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin.
  • We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself.
  • We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head.

What if I don’t know the music or understand the Bible?

We aren’t the kind of church that thinks you need to know everything to come and be a part of us. We just want to get to know you and hopefully, you’ll see what we believe as you get to know us.

What is the music like?

We strive to have our music be very current. We hope that our music will sound like anything you would listen to during the week.

What should I wear?

Clothes. 🙂 We don’t care what you wear, we just care that you’re there!

What if I come from a different faith background?

Our church is made up of people who come from all different kinds of backgrounds, Catholic, Baptist, Wesleyan, Evangelical Free, Lutheran, etc. Wherever you are on your journey, we would love to have you join us!

What should I expect?

Anything! We will typically have a time or worship and teaching in each service. We also try to use the arts in our church, so you may find different art forms in our services.

Is there something for my kids?

Yes. We have Waumba Land for children ages 0-4, then we have classes and other teaching for kids in Kindergarten – 5th Grade.

Are you going to beg for my money?

If you are new to SixEight, we won’t put you under any kind of pressure to give us your money. If you feel compelled to give, you are welcome to do so but you are under no obligation. People who call SixEight their church home give back from what God has given to them as an investment in the work God is doing in this church. That is why we take an offering during our services, to give our regular attenders the opportunity to worship a God who generously gives.

What if I don’t know about this God thing?

We are the perfect church for you. We welcome anyone who has questions about God, His existence, pain and suffering and any other questions you may have. We seek to be a church that is safe for asking questions without feeling judged. In fact, if you have questions now, contact us and we’ll do our best to help you!

How do I get involved

Joining us for our Sunday morning service is a great place to start. But, as you may have read, we believe that everyone who is a Christ-follower has something they can offer as a part of this church. If you already know you want to be a part of our church and just want to get started, get in touch and we’ll try to figure something out!

What if I have more questions?

All you have to do is ask! It would be our privilege to talk to you!
