Emblem: Multicolored Cloth Fragment
Family Devotional
Joseph began with a colorful coat and a complicated family. His brothers hurt him deeply, selling him into slavery in Egypt. But even there, God was with him. Through prisons, false accusations, and forgotten promises, Joseph kept trusting God. And in the end, God used Joseph to rescue entire nations from famine—including the very brothers who betrayed him.
In your chapter, the kids entered Egypt at the moment families were coming to Joseph desperate for food. They saw fear and hunger—but also God’s mercy working through Joseph’s leadership. Peace didn’t come because life was easy. Peace came because God was at work even when everything else felt broken.
Family Question
Where do you see God working for good even when a situation doesn’t feel peaceful?
Family Prayer
Lord, help us trust that You are working in our lives even when things feel confusing or unfair. Give us Joseph’s kind of faith—steady, patient, and full of hope. Amen.
