In life, there are many things that we don’t think we’re ready for. So, often times, we will wait on them until we think we’re ready. We don’t think we’re ready to get married, so we keep waiting. We don’t think we’re ready to have kids, so we wait. But, as you’ve probably heard, if you wait until you’re ready to have kids, you’ll never have kids because you’re never really ready.
Could it be, as Paul is going to share with us, that the way we get ready to do something is by actually doing it? And with our faith, could it be that the way we mature in our faith is by actually starting to work it out? Maybe sitting and waiting to be ready to serve or live out our faith is the thing that is actually keeping us from living it out!
