We often think peace is what happens after God finishes working—after the breakthrough, after the healing, after the walls fall. But in Scripture, God gives peace in the middle of the story, not the end.

Israel had peace before the angel passed over because they were covered.
Israel had peace before they obeyed the law perfectly because they were loved.
Israel had peace before the snakes disappeared because the cure was lifted up.
Rahab had peace before Jericho fell because the promise was secured.

Peace isn’t the result of completed circumstances.
Peace is the presence of God in incomplete ones.

Reflection Questions

  1. What unfinished situation in your life is God asking you to trust Him with?
  2. What would it look like to receive peace now—before the outcome is clear?

Closing Prayer
Lord, give me peace in the middle, not just at the end. Help me believe You are working even when I can’t see the whole story. Amen.
