Has this ever happened to you? Where you’re talking to a couple of people about something, but you can tell that one of them isn’t listening? Maybe they’re scrolling through their phone, or tapping alerts on their smart watch. Or they’re just off in la la land. Regardless, you’ve said something that they didn’t hear.

Then, just a few minutes later, they ask a question that you have just answered, IF THEY HAD BEEN LISTENING!!! C’mon man!

And just as bad, is when someone “listens” to what you say, but they really only hear a part of it. They pick and choose what they want to hear.

As we continue on our journey of transformation, we discover that how we listen is important. Last week we talked about the condition of our heart (aka the soils), and whether or not we’re ready to receive.

Is there something God has been trying to tell me, but I haven’t been listening? Is there something God has been saying to me over and over again, but I’m only hearing a part of it, not the whole thing.

This Sunday, that’s exactly what we’re going to be digging into, listening to God. I’ll give you a hint, it’s a specific kind of listening. Even when God is addressing issues in our lives, he’s doing it out of love.

If you’re not feeling heard, I’ll listen. Seriously. Seriously. Send me a message, and I’ll get right back to you. And not an automated response either. I’ll respond!
