Emblem: Branch/Bush with Flame
Family Devotional
Moses wasn’t looking for a miracle—he was just tending sheep. But God met him in the wilderness through a bush that burned without burning up. God told Moses:
“I see My people. I hear their cries. And I am sending you.”
In your chapter, the kids saw Moses arguing with God, feeling unqualified, nervous, unsure. And yet God didn’t choose Moses because he was brave—He chose him because He was present. God’s peace didn’t remove Moses’ fears; it simply stood stronger than them.
Family Question
Why do you think God often chooses ordinary, insecure people to do important things?
Family Prayer
God who sees and hears, thank You for calling ordinary people. Help us listen to Your voice with courage, even when we feel afraid. Amen.
