Thinking about visiting 6:8?

We would love to have you visit us! We have taken some time to put together some answers to some of the questions we receive from people who are thinking about joining us. You can read through those below.
However, we want you to know that we take your visit very seriously. We know what a big deal it is for anyone to try out a church, and we want to do everything we can to make your time with us as beneficial to you as possible.
If you have any concerns that aren’t addressed in the questions below, we would love to talk to you about them. We know that every family and person is different so we do our best to be sensitive about that.
Whatever your need may be, we hope to be able to meet it!
If you’re thinking of visiting us, you should also check out the About Us page, to learn more about what kind of church we are.

No one has it all figured out. We’re all on a journey. Our goal as a church is to come alongside you on your journey.

These days, when people hear the word church, a lot of things come to mind. Most of them not good. We’re not a political church. We’re not driven by CNN or Fox News. Our goal is to keep Jesus the central focus of everything we do.

We believe the world needs people who are acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly. And it starts with us. Not pointing the finger at others, but making sure that we’re the kind of people who live out Micah 6:8.

Our Mission

To be a church full of people who “act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly.” This comes from a verse in the Bible, Micah 6:8.

Our Vision

  • Unity. The world is too divided. We want to be a source of bringing people together across divides. We see a community that puts political differences aside and comes together for the good of the whole.
  • Transformation. We believe Jesus was the greatest person to ever walk the earth. He gave his life to fix what we had broken. He rose from the dead, defeating the consequence of our actions. And gives new life to anyone who believes in Him. We want to see one more person believe in Jesus. Because when we someone believes in Jesus, it changes everything.
  • Lighting up the darkness. We want to change the world by making a difference from within it, not condemning it from the outside.  We see a church full of people who go into their Monday – Friday lives and live a life that shines so bright that it draws people to Christ in them.

Frequently Asked Questions

When Are Your ServiceS?

As of January 8th, we have moved our services back to Sunday evenings. Join us for a community meal at 5 pm or the service at 6!

What Do You Believe?

  • We believe the entire Bible is the inspired word of God.
  • We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience and rebellion.
  • We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin.
  • We believe that Jesus died, was buried, on the third day rose again. He ascended and is seated at the right hand of the Father and sent the Holy Spirit to empower every believer to live a life that produces the fruit of Christ.
  • We believe that every Christian should live their lives because of God’s love poured out for them.
  • We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head.

What If I don't know the music or understand the Bible?

That’s great! We’d love to have you join us. You don’t have to know everything to be a part of our church. We want to get to know you and hopefully you’ll see what we believe as you get to know us!

What is the music like?

Our music is stripped down and simple.

What if I have more questions??

Just head over to our Contact page, and we’ll be happy to answer your questions!

What should I wear?

We don’t really care as long as you’re wearing something! We’d just love to have you there!

What If I Come From A different faith background?

Our church is made up of people who come from all different kinds of backgrounds: Catholic, Baptist, Wesleyan, Evangelical Free, Lutheran, Mormon and more. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here!

What should I expect?

Anything. We sing a few songs together each week. We work to incorporate the arts in our church as well. We may do some polls to get the “audience” involved. There may be videos, stories, props. We just try to keep things fresh.

Is there something for my kids?

Absolutely! Kids are a very important part of our church. Starting on January 8th, 2023, we will be offering 6:8 kids at 9:30am!

Are you going to beg for my money?

We won’t put you under any kind of pressure to give. There won’t be an usher staring you down, waiting for you to put something in the basket. If you feel compelled to give, you are welcome to do so. But you are under no obligation.
Those who call SixEight church home give back from what God has given to them as an investment in the work God is doing in and through this church. We don’t take an offering during the service, we have a box for people to drop their donations in.

What If I'm Not Sure About This Whole GOd Thing?

We think that makes us the perfect church for you. You are welcome to come and bring your questions about God. Ask about whether or not God exists, ask about pain and suffering or any other questions you might have.
We desire to be the kind of church where it is safe for anyone, believer or or not, to ask questions without being judged. God is big enough to handle any question we may have.
